Whilst we can describe the stunning flavours of our dishes and the mouth-watering combinations that our menu offers, the only way that you will really know how good our Cotswold’s restaurant is is by joining us for lunch or dinner. We know that you will not be disappointed!

Bell Hotel Charlbury - food by D R MurpheyOur brigade of young local chefs strive to ensure that every eating experience is a memorable one for our visitors and this starts with ensuring that only the best and freshest local ingredients are used at The Bell at Charlbury. We always aim to use like-minded suppliers who care about the environment and the sustainability of their product, whether it is choice Lamb from Ducklington or Organic Honey from Halcyon Farm in Charlbury Other local suppliers include: Bensons apple juice; fine game from the Cornbury Estate; fine wine from The Oxford Wine Company (Wine List); flour for our homemade bread from FWP Matthews and fresh fish daily from New Wave Seafoods, who are members of Marine Stewardship Council.

Roast LambOur team of chefs led by new Head Chef Leigh Wicks take great pride in creating high quality cuisine that is rich in flavour and aroma which is why many of our customers are repeat visitors to our tables. What's more our menu evolves with the seasons, we cook what's good, fresh on the market or brought to our door. Our network of tiny suppliers can fetch up with anything from a crayfish to a cabbage, so the specials board will always hold a surprise or two.

Whilst our standards are high, the restaurant is far from formal. We pride ourselves on the relaxed and friendly atmosphere throughout our charming Cotswold restaurant and rooms and we know our customers prefer it that way - because they tell us.

And Now For Dessert! by D R MurpheySo whether you are looking for a five-course banquet or simply a light lunch, we always welcome the whole family and have a wide children’s menu too. We can also accommodate your pets and will even provide a picnic hamper to take out for the day if you are staying with us!

As we said, the proof of our puddings – and everything else on the menu – is definitely in the eating, so why not join us at The Bell at Charlbury for a meal today and see for yourself.

And when it comes to coffee or tea our local supplier is Baresso coffee  as they supply us with ethical, fairtrade tea and coffee. The coffee is triple certified as rainforest allience, organic and fairtrade and tastes great.
