Blenheim Palace
If you’re looking for Blenheim Palace accommodation, it’s useful to know that the Palace itself, gardens and park are all open from mid-February each year. This popular Oxfordshire attraction is suitable for all ages.
View the magnificent State Rooms with their superb examples of craftsman-built furniture and ornamental treasures amassed over the last three centuries.
Enjoy the serenity of `Capability’ Brown’s gardens and splendid parkland which date back to the mid 16th Century. Blenheim’s stunning Formal Gardens are some of the finest in Britain.
Younger visitors will enjoy getting lost in the Pleasure Garden’s wonderful maze. Once they find their way out, the play area will give them hours of fun. Special activities for children are also held here throughout the season.
Book The Bell at Charlbury as your Blenheim Palace hotel and your visit couldn’t be easier. There’s no need to book in advance and the Palace is only a 10 minute drive from Charlbury.

Woodstock
Woodstock is a classic “chocolate box” English town that’s well worth a visit during your Cotswolds trip. Of course, the town is famous for Blenheim Palace, but has much more to offer. Sir Winston Churchill, who once lived at the Palace, is buried in nearby Bladon churchyard and the town has a fascinating history all of its own.
Woodstock is very much an ancient English landmark, dating back to before the Norman Conquest. English Kings had a preference for owning property here. In 890 King Alfred is reputed to have visited the town whilst Henry II established a market in Woodstock in 1279. The town was also once home to Chaucer,
Many of the historical buildings are fascinating to explore, including the Church of St. Mary Magdelen with its unusual musical clock.
Woodstock is also popular for its superb shopping, wonderful pubs and great restaurants.
The Bell at Charlbury makes ideal Woodstock accommodation being only 10 minutes away by car. But it’s just far enough to avoid the summer tourist throngs and associated pricing.
